Well Windows 7 is due out soon and if you preorder it now you can get it for dirt cheap at £45.
I've been trying the beta and I'm quite impressed, it's basically a less memory hungry version of Vista with a Mac Style dock at the bottom. I would recommend it. What are other peoples thoughts?

Seriously, seven different versions of Windows 7?! I thought Microsoft had learnt from this...

Also, does anyone else see the stupidity of the EU to say that MS must ship without a web browser? How are you supposed to choose a browser if you can't access the web to download one? [never thought I'd defend IE...]

¬_¬ Alex on install/setup you would get a choice to install which browser you wanted. At least I'm sure I've read that. So I'm all for it.

Eh I could easily do without Windows 7. I've heard far too many scare story's about it, I'll stick with XP. At least I know how to troubleshoot it properly. Unlike W7 which is completely alien at the moment.
